Location: Home-based UK, 50% travel to UK clients

Salary: Depending on relevant experience circa £40k + 20% bonus + Benefits

Remarkable Jobs are delighted to be recruiting for a Field Application Scientist to cover the North of England, Scotland and Ireland; to drive commercial sales while representing a leading brand.

This position is charged with delivering ‘white coat selling’ to end user scientists and high level relationships with key customers and opinion leaders in the field through peer to peer interactions

This role would suit someone who is keen to get into a Field Application Scientist role who is currently in a Laboratory based role or has completed their PhD or Masters in Cell Biology.

Field Application Scientist key responsibilities:

• Delivery of Revenue Target.
• Sales and support of Cell Biology and Microbiology product range, including delivery of new product launches.
• Customer visits, trade-shows, online seminars and presentations.
• Drive sales to targeted key and growth accounts.
• Detection, development and close of key opportunities of key growth product areas.
• First level Technical support and troubleshooting in the field.

Field Application Scientist skills and knowledge required:

• Masters or PhD in Cell Biology – Essential
• Commercial experience within the Life Science market is desirable either in field sales or technical services.
• Experience in one or more European country is also desirable as is knowledge of additional languages.
• The ability to empathise and communicate with Life Scientists on a peer to peer level is essential.
• Familiarity and success working within a matrix organisation with an inclusive way of working, while being able to work efficiently autonomously.
• Driving license mandatory
• Solution focused, Can Do attitude, self starter who is able to self motivate and deliver to deadlines.
• Extensive knowledge of cell biology.
• Laboratory experience of major cell culture techniques.
• Ability to engage and empathise with scientists at all levels.
• High level influencing presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills
