Remarkable Jobs are currently assisting a Global Life Science organisation, with the recruitment of a Global Portfolio Manager to join their innovative Product Management team.

This post is a great opportunity for commercially minded scientist, to lead a small innovation team focused on ensuring that new product production resources bring the most relevant products into the portfolio.

The ideal candidate for this role will recognise the importance of translating current and future customer needs, into innovative solutions in a dynamic and competitive marketplace. Combining product portfolio knowledge with voice of customer and awareness of Scientific trends.

‘Global Portfolio Manager, Life Sciences’ Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of product managers to activate a new product pipeline for the portfolio, and drive overall growth.
  • Support strategic planning decisions, bringing innovative insights and understanding of customer needs.
  • Ensure new product initiatives are aligned with stakeholders across departments, and future business plans.
  • Support Go-To-Market teams to develop suitable collateral by providing technical insights for both the sales teams and customers, enabling successful launch of new products.
  • Collaborate with Scientific, Sales and Marketing teams to seek out working groups and external experts
  • Build long term relationships with relevant scientific communities, in order to maintain insight

‘Global Portfolio Manager, Life Sciences’ Key Skills:

  • Graduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Biology or Pharmacology
  • Possess a strong understanding of research chemicals and their application in life sciences research.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a product management or development role
  • Demonstrable innovation track record
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Self-starter, ability to work autonomously
  • Line management experience
  • Proven record of having successfully worked in a matrix organisation.
