Remarkable Jobs are working with a Global organisation on a brand new role. Due to substantial growth and recent acquisition we are seeking to attract an experienced Commercial Director who has significant exposure in providing strategic direction, leadership plus tactical and operational support required to ensure delivery of sales performance within defined territories for the Pharma & Biotech Sector (P&BT).

This role will develop and implement a high performance sales structure including direct sales channel, distribution and eCommerce to drive the business forward to exceed the orgnaisations 5 year plan.

This role is based in Ontario and travel will be required – up to 50%

Commercial Director – Pharmaceutical / Biotech role will include:

• Deliver double digit budgeted revenue in line with 5 year plan
• Provide functional leadership of the regional sales organisation
• Develop long term go to market strategy for P&BT business to increase overall effectiveness
• Represent regional sales organisation functionally and lead interaction with other functional areas
• Champion and influence global marketing and brand strategy

Commercial Director – Pharmaceutical / Biotech skills/experience will include:

• Qualified to degree level
• Minimum of 10 years international sales management experience within the scientific marketplace or a similarly regulated market
• Previous experience of managing teams and working with distribution partners
• Previous experience of managing in a matrix organisation (cross functional/territory)
• Previous experience in dealing with multinational customers
• Proven track record in achieving results and driving sales performance
• Ability to negotiate at high levels within multinational organisations and to present complex sales arguments
• Previous experience of long sales cycles
• Previous experience of selling into the Pharmaceutical and research community
• Fluency in English required
• Can do attitude is essential
