The Opportunity

Remarkable Jobs is recruiting an experienced Head of Bids & Tenders for an established and growing UK organisation operating within the infrastructure services sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Bids, Senior Bid Manager, Tender Manager or Bid Lead with a proven track record of successfully managing and winning tenders across both public and private sectors.

You will lead the entire bid and tendering function, manage a direct report and develop winning bid strategies to support continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full bid and tender lifecycle, from opportunity identification through to contract award.

• Manage public and private sector tenders, including PQQs, SQs, ITTs, RFPs and RFQs.

• Develop competitive bid strategies, commercial proposals and tender submissions.

• Oversee public procurement, framework agreements and compliance requirements.

• Collaborate with senior management, operational and commercial teams.

• Monitor bid performance, improve processes and maximise tender win rates.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven senior-level Bid Management or Tender Management experience.

• Strong experience tendering across BOTH public and private sectors – essential.

• Demonstrable success in managing and winning competitive tenders.

• Previous people management or team leadership experience.

• Strong understanding of public procurement, framework agreements and commercial tendering.

• Excellent bid writing, commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience within infrastructure, engineering, construction, facilities management or technical services would be advantageous.
