Remarkable Jobs are recruiting for a Civil Engineer with experience in the UK water industry to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK.

This opportunity would suit engineers from various levels of experience, from experienced Civil Engineers through to Senior or Principal level candidates, depending on relevant sector knowledge and technical capability.

The role offers involvement in complex engineering schemes across both design and project delivery within clean water and utility infrastructure projects, alongside excellent long-term progression opportunities.

Civil Engineer – Water Infrastructure Role:

As a Civil Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of a variety of clean water infrastructure projects including trunk mains, distribution mains, strategic utility connections, and non-infrastructure civil engineering works.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, supporting projects from initial concept through to delivery while ensuring high technical and quality standards throughout.

Civil Engineer – Water Infrastructure Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and delivery of water infrastructure projects.
  • Support detailed design work for trunk mains, distribution mains, and utility connections.
  • Assist with project coordination from concept through to completion.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and external stakeholders.
  • Attend technical meetings and occasional project site visits.
  • Support quality assurance and technical review processes.
  • Ensure projects comply with UK industry standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to project planning, programme management, and technical delivery.

What They Are Looking For:

Essential:

  • UK water infrastructure experience.
  • Strong background in design and project delivery.
  • Experience working on clean water, utilities, or civil engineering infrastructure projects.
  • AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D experience.
  • Good understanding of UK engineering standards and regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or equivalent).
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
  • Previous involvement in infrastructure or utility upgrade projects.
