We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation operating at the forefront of Cyber Security, AI Governance, and Risk Management. This is an exciting opportunity for a consultative sales professional to drive new business growth across enterprise and upper mid-market organisations, helping clients navigate an increasingly complex Cyber Security and AI risk landscape.

The successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and securing high-value opportunities across a portfolio of Cyber Security, AI Governance, AI Safety Testing, vCISO, Red Teaming, and Governance, Risk & Compliance services.

Business Development Manager Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing enterprise-level opportunities whilst building long-term relationships with senior stakeholders. Working closely with leadership, marketing, and technical teams, you will play a key role in expanding the company’s presence within high-growth sectors and developing strategic client partnerships.

Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans targeting upper mid-market and enterprise organisations.
  • Generate and secure new business opportunities across Cyber Security, AI Governance, AI Testing, vCISO, Red Teaming, and Risk Management services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-Suite and senior decision-makers.
  • Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and high-value commercial opportunities.
  • Develop and grow multi-year client engagements through a consultative sales approach.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and support business resource planning activities.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, networking opportunities, and client meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with technical and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and finalise commercial agreements and contractual documentation.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitor insights, and commercial feedback to support business growth.

What They Are Looking For:

Essential:

  • Proven track record in consultative business development and new business sales.
  • Experience selling complex solutions within Cyber Security, Technology, Software, IT Services, AI, or related sectors.
  • Strong ability to engage, influence, and build relationships with C-Suite stakeholders.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise-level sales opportunities.
  • Excellent discovery, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting experience.
  • Commercially astute with a proactive and strategic approach to business development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK as required.

Desirable:

  • Experience selling Cyber Security or Governance, Risk & Compliance services.
  • Knowledge of AI Governance, AI Risk, or emerging AI regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working with structured sales methodologies.
  • Experience developing and implementing “land and expand” account growth strategies.
  • Existing network within Cyber Security, Technology, or Enterprise Services sectors.
