Building Services Sales Support

Wallingford – £22k – £28k + £3k bonus

We are working with a client based in Wallingford to source a Sales Support Person to advise on specialist building Services, to join their small friendly team.

This opportunity is for someone with a background in architecture, CAD, domestic heat recovery, building services, and customer support and consultation. The role supports the sales process but is not an active sales role.

The emphasis of this post is on the technical side as the sales will nearly always follow if the product is technically correct and correctly presented to prospective customers. We can train the right person for this job so heat recovery is not an essential qualification.

Job Specification

To provide technical advice to potential and existing customers, mostly on the phone and via email. This will often require site visits throughout southern England which may occasionally involve staying away overnight. Transport is provided. The site visits are usually with clients in the process of building domestic properties where they are installing some kind of heat recovery system.

You will also be involved in the production of and be responsible for quotations for ventilation and central vacuum systems, producing CAD duct plans – this work is computer based so a good computer competency is required

You will be expected to atttend 3 or 4 trade shows each year, usually at weekends.

As your work will contribute to the profit of the business there will be a discretionary profit related bonus which should be between £2k and £3k per annum

Experience and Skills Required

Experience in a similar industry – possibly building services, construction, architectural or structural engineering or planning.

Experience in domestic ventilation and knowledge of PassiveHaus building standards would be an advantage although are not essential.

Good standard of education ideally to degree level or with an M&E qualification.

Experience at reading technical drawings

Good degree of confidence using computers and able to learn or already able to use CAD.

Customer service experience supporting clients in a technical support type environment

Good listening skills

Attention to detail

Good speech and personal presentation

Clean driving licence ( min of 5 years) and able to get to Wallingford for work every day.
