Role Overview:
As a Health & Safety Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of the construction teams and the success of their projects. From daily site inductions to high-risk activity management, you’ll be at the forefront of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
Safety Support and Guidance: You’ll provide expert safety advice, ensuring the construction sites adhere to current legislation and best practices.
Daily Site Inductions: Welcoming new team members, setting the tone for safety, and ensuring everyone starts on the right foot.
High-Risk Activity Management: From heavy machinery to hazardous materials, you’ll oversee safety protocols for critical tasks.
Risk Assessments: You’ll ensure that risk assessments are thorough, practical, and regularly reviewed.
Collaboration: Active participation in H&S sub-contractor meetings, fostering a culture of safety excellence.
Monthly Safety Reports: Crafting concise and informative reports for senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a similar role, ideally within the construction sector.
Certifications: CMIOSH or equivalent, NEBOSH Certificate, and a CSCS Card.
Commercial Construction Savvy: Previous experience working on commercial construction sites.
People Skills: Excellent communication, motivation, persuasion, and interpersonal abilities.
Driving Force: A valid UK driving license is essential.
Competitive Salary: £55K – £70K (Depending on Experience).
Car Allowance: An additional £5K to keep you moving.
