We are delighted to announce that we are now an Employee Owned Trust led specialist recruitment agency.

We’re thrilled to announce that Remarkable Jobs is now an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) led specialist recruitment agency. As an EOT, we believe in sharing our success with our dedicated staff who contribute to our achievements every day. Established in 2014, we have always been owner-managed, but our decision to become an EOT is a significant step forward for the company, one which will see all employees benefit from their hard work and play a bigger role in shaping the company’s future direction Our daily operations will remain unchanged, and clients will still have the same key point of contact. Our founder, Natasha Bye, will retain 40% of the firm’s shares and remain Director of the company with Daniel Ilsley and Hollie Messenger supporting as Recruitment Consultants. George Holgate, who has been with the agency for seven years, and Ellie Thomas who joined the company in 2018, will join Natasha as part of the senior leadership team.

Natasha stated, “I believe in rewarding those who have been instrumental in the growth of Remarkable Jobs over the past decade. Giving our employees accountability for their own aspirations and careers within the company was a priority. With an Employee Ownership Trust, we can accelerate growth while protecting our team. Moving forward, every employee will have a voice, bringing new ideas, perspectives, and passion to the table.”

According to the Employee Ownership Association, as of June 2022, there were over 500 Employee-Owned Businesses (EOB) using the EOT model in the UK, with over 200 businesses becoming an EOT in the last two years alone.

Switching to an EOT, where our employees have a greater say in the company’s direction and operations, will reinforce our already highly engaged and committed workforce, which ultimately results in better outcomes and results for our clients and for the business. It will inspire our employees to have an even more entrepreneurial mindset, committed to the long-term business development goals and, overall, leading to greater innovation and growth for the company. It also highlights to potential clients, candidates, and business partners that the business valuables its team and isn’t being driven solely in one direction.

Daniel Finn, senior associate at law firm Brabners who advised Remarkable Jobs on the legal aspects of the transition to Employee Ownership added: “It was fantastic working with Natasha because not only was she approachable and pragmatic throughout but also, it was apparent from the outset how committed she was to the principles of employee ownership.”

The future

Our exciting move towards employee ownership is a significant step for Remarkable Jobs, and we are now well-positioned to achieve our goals to continue growing in every aspect of the business, including headcount, turnover, profit, and rewarding those responsible along the way.

We specialise in connecting job seekers with potential employers across a range of industries, including, science, life sciences, tech and construction, with clients both in the UK and USA. Our move to EOT means we will be in an even stronger position to continue supporting these sectors and beyond with their recruitment needs, delivering the first-class service that our clients and candidates are accustomed too.
