Salary: £25,000 – £27,500

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break)

Remarkable Jobs are recruiting on behalf of electrical hire company. We are seeking a Repairs Assessment Technician to join their team at West Drayton. This is a key role within the repairs and maintenance department, requiring a technically minded individual with great communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Repairs Assessment Technician Role:

As a Repairs Assessment Technician, you will be the first point of technical assessment for incoming repair requests. You’ll evaluate reported issues, determine the nature and urgency of the repair, and allocate resources accordingly. This role involves coordinating with engineers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring repairs are prioritised and scheduled effectively.

Repairs Assessment Technician Key Responsibilities:

Assess repair requests and diagnose potential faults remotely using technical knowledge and available information.

Prioritise repairs based on urgency, safety, and operational impact.

Liaise with internal teams and contractors to schedule timely responses.

Maintain detailed records and documentation of all assessments.

Provide excellent communication with tenants/customers, offering clear explanations and setting expectations.

What They Are Looking For:

Essential:

      Technical knowledge in the lighting industry, or an understating of any hire or electrical equipment – advantages

Must have a valid and clean UK Driving licence

Strong organisational and multitasking skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Confidence in using IT systems and databases.

Be able to work evenings and weekends as required.

Desirable:

Experience in a triage, coordination, or scheduling role within housing or facilities management.

An interest in the lighting industry for film, television, and live events in desirable

Repairs Assessment Technician Key Attributes:

A customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.

Confident and collaborative in working with multiple teams.
