Remarkable Jobs are delighted to be working with an established property development company who specialise in Steel Frame Structures. They are in the enviable position that they manufacture their own Steel Frames while also manufacturing for other customers. The client can design specifically to suit clients’ individual needs, they also cover all aspects of new build or renovations. Due to further growth, they are now seeking to attract a ‘Quantity Surveyor’ for an Exmouth based site.

The ideal candidate will have experience with costing, materials, draw ups, quantity estimates, and project budgets. Ensuring they are proactive throughout the project e.g. noting any design / project changes and their effect on cost.

‘Quantity Surveyor’ Responsibilities

• Reviewing construction plans and planning quantity requirements
• Overseeing project costs, scrutinizing maintenance, and material costs as well as contractors.
• Keeping track of the logistics for materials ensuring the team is aware
• Amending any changes in design ensuring budgets are updated
• Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment and other documents.
• Establishing and managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders

‘Quantity Surveyor’ Key Skills:

• Bachelors’ degree in Quantity surveying, Engineering, Management or similar.
• 3-5 years in a similar position
• Strong analytical skills
• Critical thinker – able to act quickly to various situations
• Great knowledge of Cold Rolled Steel Construction / Steel Frames
• Clean UK Driving licence
• Great networking abilities
