About the Maintenance Technician Role:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in the maintenance of the company’s facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This position will involve hands-on maintenance work across the company’s building, grounds, and equipment. Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager, you will ensure that all maintenance procedures are carried out safely and efficiently, while advising on any improvements required for the maintenance of the site.

Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician:

  • Manage contractors for routine maintenance such as security, cleaning, and groundskeeping.
  • Perform maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, plant maintenance, and waste management.
  • Oversee air conditioning, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Conduct safety checks on fire doors, alarms, lighting, and emergency equipment.
  • Respond to staff requests for maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company standards.

About You:

  • Trade-based qualifications or expertise.
  • Previous experience in a broad range of property maintenance tasks.
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulations, in particular LOLER, PUWER, and COSHH.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • High level of Health & Safety awareness.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Salary & Benefits for the Maintenance Technician:

  • £40,000 per annum
  • Core hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 6 pm
  • Paid overtime opportunities, including weekend work as required.
