Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Hours: Full-time, Some Saturdays (Business dependant)

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be an essential part of the facilities team, ensuring the site is well-maintained and running smoothly. From tackling small repairs to supporting larger projects, your contributions will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform minor repairs, including fixing door handles, replacing lights, and addressing building fabric issues.
• Carry out small painting tasks to keep internal and external spaces in excellent condition.
• Support the Senior Facilities Manager with maintenance, health and safety (H&S), and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.
• Conduct essential checks such as emergency lighting flick tests, water temperature monitoring, and flushing infrequently used outlets.
• Provide site supervision for contractors and engineers, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and safely.
• Maintain detailed records of activities using SharePoint.
• Collaborate with security and cleaning teams to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
• Assist with out-of-hours maintenance work as required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a building facilities or maintenance environment.
• Practical skills in building maintenance (e.g., joinery, painting, or minor electrical repairs) are advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems; FM software experience is a bonus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Health and safety qualifications or training are desirable.
