We’re seeking a Financial Controller to oversee accounting and controlling functions for Central Europe. The FC is responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll collaborate closely with teams in the UK, Germany, Czech Republic, and other European locations.
The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role In the business and is expected to collaborate extensively with internal teams and external partners, to maintain robust financial processes and controls. Act as a senior advisor to the Finance Director, providing insights and recommendations for financial strategy and performance improvement
Key Responsibilities:
– Financial Reporting and Analysis, oversee the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reports. Conduct Variance analysis and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making.
– Internal Controls and Compliance: Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
– Coordinate with auditors for annual audits
– Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial forecast to support business planning.
– Stakeholder Management
– Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
– Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
– Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, audit experience preferred
– Fluent in English, German language skills advantageous
– Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software
