Remarkable Jobs is recruiting on behalf of a leading film and lighting hire company, seeking a PAT Tester & Equipment Repairs Technician to join their vibrant team in Enfield/Edmonton. This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge lighting and AV equipment, essential to some of the most exciting film and production events in the industry!

As the PAT Tester & Equipment Repairs Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment is tested, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards, ready for action on high-profile productions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on all lighting and AV equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs to restore faulty or damaged equipment, ensuring it’s fully operational and ready for hire.
• Diagnose issues quickly and accurately, applying your skills to maintain equipment at its peak performance.
• Manage stock control, track faulty equipment, and report damage to ensure an efficient repair cycle.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure all equipment is organised and ready for use, keeping production schedules on track.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in PAT testing and equipment repairs (lighting/AV equipment experience is a plus!)
• A strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to carry out mechanical repairs
• Great organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure
• IT literate, with the ability to manage reports and equipment tracking
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime as needed
