Remarkable Jobs have partnered with a leading RC framework construction company, to support the recruitment of a Design Manager.
The Design Manager will oversee all aspects of project design delivery, including contract obligations, program management, procurement, design detail, construction, quality, health, safety, and environmental standards. They will ensure compliance with client requirements, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project timelines.
The Design Manager will interface with internal stakeholders such as Managing Director, Executive Director, Commercial Director, as well as external stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and service providers.
Design Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and fulfil contract obligations related to design delivery.
- Develop and manage design programs in alignment with project timelines.
- Assist in procurement and appointment of designers.
- Ensure design details meet project specifications and cost constraints.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Oversee business processes and general administration related to design.
Design Manager Key Skills:
- Relevant industry qualification (RIBA, ICE, CIOB).
- Valid CSCS Card.
- 10-15 years of UK Construction experience
- Industrial and/or Data Centre project experience
- Experience in design and engineering construction.
- Knowledge of building regulations and health & safety regulations.
- Strong understanding of the planning process.
