Building Test Technician Role:
As a Building Test Technician, you will conduct critical compliance testing on buildings, ensuring they meet UK Building Regulations standards. This role requires a flexible and detail-oriented professional committed to delivering high-quality results.
Building Test Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct airtightness tests, ventilation performance tests, and heat transfer coefficient testing in compliance with UK Building Regulations and client specifications.
- Provide advisory services, liaise with clients and site management, and present findings effectively.
- Identify and resolve faults, analyse results, and produce detailed reports following company and regulatory procedures.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and vehicles, ensuring functionality and reporting maintenance needs.
- Adhere to corporate and client standards, policies, and procedures.
- Undertake administrative duties within required timescales and other relevant tasks as needed.
What They Are Looking For:
Essential:
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant test standards.
- A clean driving licence.
- Understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Desirable:
- CSCS card or equivalent.
- A university-level degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
